An exciting opportunity to work for one of the most experienced property and construction practitioners in Australia

BRI Ferrier’s Property and Construction team has attracted some of the most high profile and complex restructuring / advisory work in the current market and as a result, we are looking to hire an exceptional practitioner to join our team.

This role will provide you with the opportunity to work on a range of corporate engagements (formal / informal) designing innovative and commercial solutions and working in conjunction with a variety of external stakeholders including business owners, investors and lenders in a diverse range of industries. You will be supported by 17 Principals nationwide and benefit from working with a branded corporate practice.

We want a driven, commercially minded and career-focused practitioner to interact with our diverse range of clients. This role is best suited to a proactive individual who enjoys working in a dynamic environment.

The opportunity will involve:

  • Traditional insolvency services relating to property and construction.
  • Involvement in complex restructuring and re-engineering matters.
  • Working directly with a collegiate group of market-leading practitioners with specialist knowledge in:
    • warranty issues relating to workmanship;
    • tax issues relating to property and construction;
    • strata issues, real estate and trust account operations;
    • project completion management relating to master plan securities;
    • documentation in construction and development; and
    • project refinancing and broker asset sales.
  • Opportunities to take initiative and responsibility for matters to develop your skills and profile.
  • Networking and building relationships across the restructuring and turnaround community.

Join our progressive firm

To be considered for this role you will have at least 10 years insolvency experience with a highly regarded insolvency specialist, mid-tier or top tier firm. You will ideally have established your own practice and have a passion for a long-term career in property and construction and restructuring.

  • A practitioner with a team may be considered
  • Access to most top-tier lenders via a preferred panel partnership
  • Have a solid client following
