We are looking for a driven and career focused individual looking to break into the accounting field. This role is best suited to a proactive individual who enjoys working in a dynamic environment.

The focus of the position will be:

  • To support the team with a range of corporate insolvency appointments.
  • Assisting in setting up and running files under supervision.
  • Statutory reporting.
  • Dealing with assets.
  • Liaising with creditors and all stakeholders involved in various administrations.
  • Working as part of a team on a variety of cases.

About you

The ideal candidate will possess the following attributes:

  • 1-2 years’ experience working in insolvency and restructuring.
  • Graduate with a major in accounting (or near completion).
  • Completing (or near completion) the CA or CPA programs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient with MS Office.
  • Can do attitude.
  • Commercially orientated.
  • Team player.

BRI Ferrier’s Property and Construction team has attracted some of the most high profile and complex restructuring / advisory work in the current market and as a result, we are looking to hire an exceptional practitioner to join our team.

This role will provide you with the opportunity to work on a range of formal and informal corporate engagements, designing innovative and commercial solutions and working in conjunction with a variety of external stakeholders including business owners, investors and lenders in a diverse range of industries. You will be supported by 16 Principals nationwide and benefit from working with a branded corporate practice.

We want a driven, commercially minded and career-focused practitioner to interact with our diverse range of clients. This role is best suited to a proactive individual who enjoys working in a dynamic environment.

The opportunity will involve:

  • Involvement in complex restructuring and re-engineering matters.
  • Traditional insolvency services relating to property and construction.
  • Working directly with a collegiate group of market-leading practitioners with specialist knowledge in:
    • warranty issues relating to workmanship;
    • tax issues relating to property and construction;
    • strata issues, real estate and trust account operations;
    • project completion management relating to master plan securities;
    • documentation in construction and development; and
    • project refinancing and broker asset sales.
  • Opportunities to take initiative and responsibility for matters to develop your skills and profile.
