James Taplin
Principal
James is a registered liquidator, business turnaround and restructuring professional with experience in both corporate and personal insolvency.
James has over 20 years’ experience, working for international accounting firms with extensive experience with large business and small to medium sized businesses. James’ clients include solicitors, accountants, directors, corporates, banks and other professional advisors.
James has undertaken receivership engagements, investigative accounting reviews and pre-lending reviews for the major financiers and private lenders and voluntary administrations with deeds of company arrangements and liquidations for directors and creditors. In addition, James has undertaken Bankruptcy engagements and personal insolvency agreements as an alternative to Bankruptcy.
James has also undertaken consulting work for the Government and has been appointed Receiver by the Queensland Department of Justice and Attorney General.
James prides himself upon understanding key divers of a business, developing strong relationships and commercial outcomes for stakeholders through effective communication, empathy with high ethical standards.
James has been involved in engagements across a broad range of industries including financial services, construction and manufacturing, tourism and hospitality, pharmaceuticals, mining, real estate, childcare, transport and logistics.
